Perfusionist, Emory Healthcare
At Emory Healthcare, our perfusion services team is one of the largest in the Southeast. Covering four facilities, including the premier Level I trauma center in Georgia, our perfusion services team partners with our cardiovascular teams to provide life-giving care to critically ill patients. We are continuing to grow our team in support of our multi-million dollar renovation at Emory University Hospital Midtown. Our perfusion services team spans a variety of experience levels, where perfusion team members work autonomously within a supportive, collegial environment.
Our Heart & Vascular Center is the only program in Atlanta, and one of just a few in Georgia, to be involved in translational research. This consistently propels Emory to the forefront of cutting-edge cardiovascular treatments and technologies, and results in better outcomes for patients. We recently launched a perfusion-directed research program to help set the standard for perfusion care nationally. Our services include: HIPEC, isolated limb infusion, lung lavage, VAD, ECMO and robot-assisted mitral valve surgery.
When you join the Emory Healthcare perfusion team, you join a team that provides nationally recognized care for some of the region’s most acute patients. As an academic practice, we support dedicated academic time and a flexible work schedule to help you achieve work/life success. Our accomplishments include:
- Home to one of the largest adult congenital programs in the nation.
- The most robot-assisted surgeries in the world.
- Highest volume of aortic surgery in the Southeast and in the top three nationally.
- In the process of expansion of ECMO, VAD and transplant programs in conjunction with new CVICUs.
- New structural heart program includes increase in robotic mitral valve surgery.
- Nationally ranked Cardiac programs by U.S. News & World Report.
At Emory Healthcare, we are committed to providing our employees the best place to work, learn and grow.
