The Emory Orthopedic Surgery APP Fellowship is a one-year program that provides a structured and supportive post-graduate training and education to Orthopedic APP's to enhance quality and safety in patient care and to retain exemplary staff and improve outcomes.

Position Summary:
The Orthopedic Surgery NP and PA Fellowship Program is a one-year program that prepares fellows to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of complex and challenging patients in Orthopedics.
The Fellowship's innovative curriculum covers the entire spectrum of the specialty area including joints, upper extremity, lower extremity, orthopedic oncology and spine.
Fellows will have exposure to the care of Orthopedic patients with rotations that will allow them to cultivate specialized and thorough knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited PA or Acute Care NP Master's program prior to the start of the Fellowship program.
National board certification as a PA or Acute Care NP.
Eligible for licensure as a PA or NP in Georgia.
Eligible for DEA license.
American Heart Association BLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
Physical Requirements: (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
