Specialty: Medical Surgical
This unit provides nursing care to patients with Endocrinology and Pulmonary diseases, Renal diseases, Infectious diseases, Liver diseases, Auto-immune disorders, Gastroenterological problems, Sickle Cell disease, Hematology, Oncology and Cardiology problems. There are 14 negative pressure rooms available on the unit for patients requiring airborne isolation. A General Medical Telemetry unit. Telemetry monitoring is conducted in conjunction with Cardiology Services.
Specialty: Cardiovascular Step Down
Unit 11 is a high volume, busy, Cardio-vascular Thoracic Stepdown Unit, also known as an intermediate (IMCU) or progressive care unit (PCU), that provide intermediate level care for patients recovering from open and/or minimally invasive cardiac and thoracic procedures, surgeries, cardiac defects, or heart attacks, requiring close monitoring with specialized cardiac medications and treatment modalities.
The RN Clinician is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong understanding of patient care for a specific population. Using clinical knowledge, research, and experience, they adapt to changing situations and personalize care based on the AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care. They serve as a resource for colleagues and advocate for patients and families.
