Fulltime / Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital

• Performs safe operation of vascular US and physiologic equipment to ensure high quality for diagnostic vascular scans and other procedures.
• Operates other medical equipment as needed. Provides quality patient care to patients undergoing Vascular US scans and physiologic procedures.
• Demonstrates complete knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology. Prepares the patients having vascular procedures with proper technique.
• May participate in more complex procedures. Communicates and explains various procedures to patients and families.
• Processes required paper work, and has knowledge of all supplies, and stocks rooms. Acts as a preceptor for new staff and students.
• Provides leadership in the absence of a Level IV Tech. Performs related responsibilities as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasound technology, vascular technology or a cardiovascular program.
• Current registry certificate from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). RVT, RVS or RT(VS) required.
• Three years of vascular imaging experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
