The Emory Orthopedic Surgery APP Post Graduate Fellowship Program is currently accepting applications for the Spring 2026 Cohort.  Emory Healthcare provides a structured and supportive post graduate training and education program for Advanced Practice Providers in Orthopedics.  

 

The Emory Orthopedic Surgery APP Fellowship is a one-year program that provides a structured and supportive post-graduate training and education to Orthopedic APP's to enhance quality and safety in patient care and to retain exemplary staff and improve outcomes.

Application Requirements:

  • Eligible to graduate from an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Submission of a completed application by 10/01/2025.
  • Completed application includes submission of the following supporting documentation:
    • Curriculum Vitae: educational background, professional experience, volunteer experience and other relevant information
    • Statement of Intent: One-page, 12-point font, double-spaced statement describing career goals and reasons for pursing the fellowship. Include future career plans and how they might be enhanced by additional training in the fellowship.
    • Two (2)Letters of Recommendation (including one from Program Director or Current Supervisor if not a new graduate)

If selected to move forward, candidates will be contacted by Program Coordinators regarding interview dates and times.  

 

Completed applications must be submitted by October 1, 2025.  Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

 

Description

Position Summary:

  • The Orthopedic Surgery NP and PA Fellowship Program is a one-year program that prepares fellows to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of complex and challenging patients in Orthopedics.

  • The Fellowship's innovative curriculum covers the entire spectrum of the specialty area including joints, upper extremity, lower extremity, orthopedic oncology and spine.

  • Fellows will have exposure to the care of Orthopedic patients with rotations that will allow them to cultivate specialized and thorough knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited PA or Acute Care NP Master's program prior to the start of the Fellowship program.

  • National board certification as a PA or Acute Care NP.

  • Eligible for licensure as a PA or NP in Georgia.

  • Eligible for DEA license.

  • American Heart Association BLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
