9:30p-8a / Full Time/ 35 Hours (schedule may include weekend on call requirements) 

Emory Healthcare is an academic medical center with a high acuity patient population. Our pharmacy staff works side by side with our fellow health care providers creating an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care. The Pharmacy at Emory’s goal is to provide patient- and-family centered medication management to the patients we serve and defining a new standard of care for humankind. 

 

The Emory Decatur Hospital is seeking experienced candidates (hospital experience or PGY1 Residencey strongly desired) for the position of Night Pharmacist to add to their team.  With the focus on the patient as the primary beneficiary, the role of the Night Pharmacist is to provide leadership, clinical, educational, informational, and distribution functions on the night shift. This includes prioritizing the workload and organizing the workflow of pharmacy technical personnel on the night shift, taking into account available resources. As well as, to identify performance improvement opportunities and make recommendations of ways to improve clinical and distributive services.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
  • One year of hospital experience and PGY1 residency preferred.
