Description

NIGHT SHIFT: 3a-11:30a, rotating weekends and on-call

The primary responsibilities of our Phlebotomists are to collect and label specimens for testing, maintain computerized records, resolve and troubleshoot outstanding specimens/collections.  In addition, practice universal precautions, barrier protection methods, infection control and isolation procedures when working with body fluids and other contagia to ensure a safe work environment. This position is required to escalate issues, problems, and opportunities to supervisory level for resolution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of recognized Phlebotomy Certification program including clinical rotation externship preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to type minimum 35 words per minute required for clinic based positions and preferred for Hospital based
  • Basic medical terminology and customer service skills expected.
