Administrative Nurse Supervisor / 7pm-7:30am/ 36 Hours

 

We’re seeking an Administrative Nurse Supervisor responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision to nursing staff across all shifts within their operating unit. This role requires an experienced nursing professional with strong leadership skills who can assess hospital operations, coordinate activities between departments, and ensure high-quality patient care outcomes. The ideal candidate will serve as a resource for staff, resolve challenges, and advocate for patients and families while upholding hospital policies and procedures. This individual will: 

  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to nursing personnel on all shifts, 24/7 within their operating unit.
  •  Assess the overall status of the hospital and plans a course of action for the current shift and the shift immediately to follow.
  • Coordinate nursing activities with the activities of other hospital departments.
  • Provide input into goals and objectives of nursing services.
  • Periodically meet with other staff members to discuss progress towards their achievement and to develop future courses of action.
  • Clarify and interprets hospital and nursing policies and procedures to nursing staff, physicians, patients, visitors, and personnel in various hospital departments.
  • Maintain current manuals on hospital policies and procedures; ensures they are readily available.
  • Assist the Charge Nurse in determining required staff based on patient census and acuity.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, activities, and procedures which ensure the highest quality of patient care outcomes.
  • Meet personally with family, patients, and staff to resolve concerns or difficult situations.Coordinates the handling of patient complaints or significant events withappropriate management.Provides procedural information to patients/families upon request.Offers support and direction in resolving challenges and assists non-nursing operations with personnel needs

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • Five years of Registered Nursing experience of which two years must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
  • ACLS may be required for some locations.
