8am - 4:30am/ Full Time/ 40 Hours 

Salary range -$16.25-$30.02

  

We're seeking a Coord, SPD Process Improvement for Emory Midtown Hospital, responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work an ensuring the safety and care for all patients. 

This individual will:    

 

  • Responsible for communicating and applying quality assurance measures for the Central Service department across EHC. Evaluates current and new quality techniques for compliance as it applies to regulatory, instructions for use and industry standards.
  • Updates and rewrites policies and procedures as necessary. Designs and analyzes statistical data as it pertains to sterile processing procedures and assists in corrective action based on analysis across EHC.
  • Collaborates with entity leaders to lead and facilitate process improvement and interventions through interdepartmental collaboration and planning, multi-disciplinary communication and implementation/analysis of care delivery processes impacting quality metrics. Serve as a resource for education and training regarding internal process improvements and quality improvement tools and strategies. Data Collection and/or analysis in support of quality measurement, analysis and improvement across Emory Healthcare.
  • Responsibilities may require detailed/expert knowledge of regulatory requirements including, but not limited to accreditation, registries and other quality metrics if applicable. Responsibilities include review and development of sterile processing policies for Emory Healthcare.
  • Supports the development, prioritization and execution of performance improvement projects utilizing LEAN methodologies for all process improvements and related sustainability. Provides technical support to performance improvement teams on the use of TQM tools and collecting and analyzing data.
  • Functions as a project leader/manager, facilitator, consultant, and analyst to PI projects assigned. Utilizes a systems approach by mapping key processes and implementing value stream analysis to reduce waste, inefficiencies and downtime. Utilizes evidence based practice and data to guide improvement efforts. Builds strong cross-functional relationships to ensure that all stakeholders are appropriately engaged. Presents and communicates project progress and outcomes at all levels in the organization in a professional and effective manner. Develops and monitors project charters, work plans and A3 documentation.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business, Healthcare Administration, or Healthcare Management.
  • Five years of experience in healthcare field.
  • Preferred minimum 3 years experience working in a complex healthcare environment in sterile processing departments, project management, or quality improvement.
  • Certification in Sterile Processing preferred. Must maintain valid Driver License and vehicle insurance to meet travel requirements.
