Shift:                PRN - Four (4) 12 hour shifts per month required

12-hour shifts- 7a-7p & 7p-7a-must be able to work both shifts as needed

Location:          Travel between four (4) to ten (10) Emory locations within Emory Healthcare

Salary:             $23.00

We are seeking a capable Emergency Room Technician who performs a variety of clinical tasks to better facilitate patient care by directly assisting nursing and physician staff.

• This includes IV insertion and placement of a foley catheter. Performs and documents vital signs, notifies triage nurse or physician on duty possibly critical patients, communicates as appropriate to waiting room patients.
• Conducts needs analysis to determine need for supplies based on ED volume. Monitors stock and supplies to ensure par levels are maintained.
• Ensures that physician orders are accurately entered into the computer. Answers phones and direct inquiries as appropriate. Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program.
• 2.5 years of experience required.
• Previous ED experience required.
• Must have current certification as an EMT-I or Paramedic,
• Must have current BLS- American Heart Association (AHA), and ACLS(AHA) if Paramedic.
• Must be willing and able to work days and nights as needed.

• in relevant specialty area required within 1 year of employment.
