Description

CLINICAL DIETITIAN  

 Clinical Dietitian 

  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics. 
  • Licensed as a dietitian in the State of Georgia. 
  • Maintains a specialty certification from an approved nutrition related area OR has a Master's degree in Nutrition, or Dietetics or related field. 
  • Three years of experience as a dietitian in a clinical setting. 

 LABORATORY 

 Cytotechnologist 

  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical lab science or a chemical, physical or biological science. 
  • At least two years of experience. Experience in Gynecological, Non-gynecological and FNA cytology preferred. 
  • Certification as CT (ASCP) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology which meets Georgia's Department of Human Resources requirements. 

 

Embryologist 

  • Bachelor of Science in biology, chemistry, reproductive Biology, medical technology, or Animal Science from an accredited institution. 
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience in an IVF lab is required. 
  • Successfully completed a minimum of 30 documented supervised procedures (30 of each type of procedure) is required. 

 

Histotechnologist 

  • High School diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. 
  • Five years of relevant experience with supervisor/lead experience preferred. 
  • Certification as HTL (ASCP) or certification as HT(ASCP). 

 

HLA Technologist 

  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a chemical, physical or biological science. 
  • Two years of medical technology or HLA experience (Medical Laboratory Technician experience is pro-rated).  
  • Certification by one of the following accreditation agencies: MT (ASCP), MLS(ASCP) or categorical, MT(NCA), MT(AMT), MT(HHS or HEW), CHT(ABHI), CHS(ABHI). 

 

Lab Tech Specialist 

  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical lab science or a chemical, physical or biological science.  
  • Bachelor's degree may be waived for histotechnologists with HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP).  
  • Two years required with three years of related laboratory experience preferred. 

 

Medical Technologist/ MT 

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or a chemical, physical or biological science. 
  • Certified by one of the following accreditation agencies: MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), MT (HHS or HEW), MT (AAB), generalist or categorical if applicable. 
  • Two years of experience required. 

 

Pathologist’s Assistant 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical or Biological Science or certification obtained prior to 2003. 
  • Must be PA (ASCP) certified or eligible and pass exam within 18 months of hire. 

 


RADIATION 

Dosimetrist 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited medical dosimetry program with board certification required within the first three years of hire. 

 

Radiation Therapist 

  • Certificate or degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program. 
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. 

RADIOLOGY  

Cardiac Sonographer 

  • Must obtain ARDMS or CCI certifications Echocardiography as required by each entity within 12 months of employment. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required. 

 

Computed Tomography Technologist / CT Tech 

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the ARRT. 

 

Interventional Radiology Technologist / IR Tech 

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, be registered with the ARRT, and have one (1) year of clinical experience. 

 

Mammography Technologist / Mammo Tech 

Minimum Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the ARRT. 

 

MRI Technologist 

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the ARRT. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. 

 

Nuclear Medicine Technologist / Nuc Med Tech 

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology, be registered in Nuclear medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). 

 

Radiologic Technologist / Rad Tech / X-ray Techs 

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). 

 

Ultrasound Technologist 

  • Must be a student in good standing within 60 days of graduation from an accredited school of Ultrasound and at a minimum be registry-eligible with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. 

 

Vascular Ultrasound Technologist 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasound technology, vascular technology or a cardiovascular program.  
  • Two years of ultrasound experience with at least one of those years in an area of vascular technology.  
  • RVT, RVS or RT (VS) required 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. 

REHAB 

Certified Hand Specialist 

  • Must be a graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) accredited school of Occupational Therapy. 
  • Specialty certification from Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) required in hand therapy. 
  • National registration and state licensure or registration where applicable. 
  • Minimum of two years experience in application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic is preferred. 
  • Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. 

 

Occupational Therapist / OT 

  • A bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited program.  
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Georgia.  
  • Must have and maintain NBCOT certification.  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. 

 

Physical Therapist / PT 

  • Graduation from a Physical Therapy school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). 
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. 

 

Speech Pathologist 

  • A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.  
  • Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Georgia.  
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  
  • One year of Speech-Language Pathology experience.  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. 

RESPIRATORY THERAPY  

 Respiratory Therapist / RRT 

  • Graduate of a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory Care) accredited approved school required. 
  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care. 
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) by the state of Georgia. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
