Description

  • The Director of Cardiovascular Services will assume responsibility for the efficient and safe operation of the Cardiac Catherization Labs, Electrophysiology Labs, Cardiology post-interventional units and the associated admission recovery area in an acute care facility.
  • The director will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with the cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and other members of the Medical Staff who utilize the services of the department.
  • Responsible for the financial management of cardiac services including budgeting, payroll, and equipment purchases.
  • Responsible for future planning in regard to advances in cardiac procedures and business development.
  • Attends and/or conducts regular meetings with the cardiologists and attends various hospital committee meetings.
  • Responsible for the growth, development and expansion of the eICU program.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.

  • A master's degree in Nursing or related field.

  • Seven years of Registered Nursing experience of which two years must be in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

  • Positions in this classification may require nursing experience in one or more specialty areas.

  • Certification in relevant specialty strongly encouraged.
