8a-4:30p / Full Time / 40 Hours

 

The Clinical Dietitian II-IP assures continuity of care through effective decision making resulting in quality patient care.

  • Regularly conducts physical assessment on patients.
  • Completes annual literature review related to patient care population.
  • Coordinates with FNS and members of the multidisciplinary team to provide efficient, quality patient care.
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities on clinical units to improve patient satisfaction scores.
  • Precepts and evaluates interns independently.
  • Develops and/or revises internship curriculum.
  • Provides guidance and training to staff and dietetic interns on completing physical assessment.
  • Develops and presents nutrition information in area of expertise to dietetic interns from Georgia State and Emory programs during skills development period per internship coordinator.
  • Serves as preceptor for internship seminars and/or intern case studies.
  • Identifies work process improvement opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Develops presentation and/or education materials for staff, hospital and/or community related function or health fair.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics.
  • One or more years experience in acute care setting as a clinical dietitian.
  • Registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Licensed as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.
  • Must maintain competency in adult and geriatric nutrition.
  • Competent in basic computer skills, including diet management software.
