Description

The Sr. Administrator, Heart & Vascular reports to a senior executive within Emory Healthcare. Oversees and manages the daily operations of specific business units & clinic sections; responsible for the financial and operational performance of identified units. Provides strategic direction and places resources in positions to achieve business goals/targets.

 

  • Provides timely tactical and strategic updates that demonstrate operational engagement in financial and managerial performance for business units and the Clinic as a whole.
  • Serves at the discretion of the reporting leader to represent organization/management in specific forums, initiates and conveys direction to other business units related to performance, budgeting, financial management and resource allocation as directed to do so by either leadership or other anticipation of business needs.
  • Ensures that Facilities Management activities are in compliance with safety, JCAHO and OSHA regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Manages financial, service and quality performance levels of business unit(s). Supervises staff and manages employee performance.
  • Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.
  • Monitors workflow.
  • Interprets applicable regulations and establishes filing and auditing procedures to ensure records and files are accurate and in compliance.
  • Manages service levels and operational performance of technical staff and switchboard services. Coordinates technology used in telecommunications at facility.
  • Manages and monitors medical records performance and service level standards.
  • Collects, organizes, and analyzes data and generates and provides accurate and complete reports for management and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Plans, administers and monitors the departments capital equipment, operations, and personnel budgets; regularly reviews year to date expenditures; and takes corrective action as necessary.
  • Analyzes and researches departmental budget(s) to locate errors and/or omissions, balance account records, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Manages and monitors facility related services involving Facilities Management, Telecommunications and Medical Records.
  • Maintains and insures contract compliance for purchased or contracted services such as Housekeeping, Pharmacy services, Mail/courier services, Infection control, Biomedical engineering, Building security, and Valet services.
  • Assesses needs and develops and implements staff development and training and in-service programs including orientation, basic IDX application training, annual fire, safety and infection control training and other core training needs as appropriate.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration; master's degree preferred.
  • Five years related experience as a leader in a healthcare facility.
  • Specific experience in related service line preferred.
