Description

Shift: Overnight shift, Monday - Friday, 10:30pm - 7am

  • Provides quality care to the patients receiving US Scan, diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Communicates patient needs and responses through appropriate verbal and written correspondence.
  • Ensures documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care. Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment as well as keeps abreast of uses of medical devices.
  • Assumes responsibility and provides direct care for all procedures performed in this area. Ensures that patients have been prepared for procedures.
  • Provides quality care to patients during procedures. Assists with patient and family education.
  • May support or assist in research and related activities. Operates ultrasound equipment to produce scans for diagnostic and invasive procedures in the US suite.
  • Provides quality patient care to patients having US scans and invasive procedures. Prepares patients for invasive procedures with proper sterile technique.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a student in good standing within 60 days of graduation from an accredited school of Ultrasound.
  • Registry-eligible with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • or American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
