Description

We're seeking a Cardiovascular Specialist responsible for assisting in procedures such as complex PCI including CTO; and is able to assist with complex procedures; including multiple wire exchanges and able to use long wires and OTW balloons. This individual should also be able to use specialty devices such as rotablater, CSI, laser and shockwave and may participate in structural heart cases. Additionally, assisting in advanced EP procedures (such as lead extractions at some sites, complex ablations and stims independently) is needed. This individual:

  • Troubleshoots imaging equipment collaborating with biomedical engineers for service.
  • Participate in procedural charging. Maintains supply management.
  • Able to act quickly under emergency situations.
  • Able to discuss with physician plan of action and assist with any high-risk procedures.
  • Understands and works with x-ray system, including panning table and recognizing different angles.
  • Manages access site including proper removal of sheath, assessment of hematoma and knowledge of hematoma management.
  • Understands concepts of radiation safety.
  • Knowledgeable in coronary anatomy and recognizing different types of lesions.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Licensed AEMT OR National Registered Paramedic (NRP) OR graduate of accredited school of radiologic technology OR accredited school of cardiovascular technology OR academic program in health sciences.
  • Must become registered as an ARRT with post primary category of cardiac interventional radiography or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES obtained within 12 months of hire or promotion as a condition of continued employment
  • Preferred: Registered as ARRT with CI credential or RCIS or RCES
